British Airways Stockholm 787s to Make Summer Return.

British Airways today announced that the BA780/BA781 London Heathrow – Stockholm Arlanda rotation will switch from Boeing 767-300ER to Boeing 787-8 operation for the period 15th July – 10th August 2014. The World Traveller Plus cabin will be sold as Economy with seats allocated to high tier frequent flyers. Boeing 787-8’s were used on this rotation last Summer for crew familiarisation purposes.

Air New Zealand B787-9 ZK-NZE First Flight.

Air New Zealand Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZE made its first flight from Paine Field as BOE003 today carrying test registration N1012N. The aircraft is already painted in Black/Black Fern livery.

Abusive Passenger Causes B787-8 VH-VKA JQ46 Cancellation.

An abusive passenger aboard Boeing 787-8 l/n 123, Jetstar VH-VKA, operating JQ35 Melbourne – Denpasar became abusive and attacked three cabin crew members. One member of cabin crew took themself off duty at Denpasar and refused to operate the aircraft’s next scheduled flight as JQ46 Denpasar – Brisbane. As a result of not having minimum crew available to operate this flight the flight was cancelled and the aircraft positioned Denpasar – Brisbane using the JQ46 callsign.

Jetstar Announce B787-8 Japan Operations.

Jetstar today announced that the JQ11/JQ12 Coolangatta – Tokyo Narita rotation will switch from A330-200 to Boeing 787-8 operation from 21st July 2014.

British Airways B787-8 G-ZBJF Delivered.

British Airways Boeing 787-8 G-ZBJF was delivered Paine Field – London Heathrow as BA9158 today. The aircraft is in 35J/25W/154Y configuration and White Union Flag with Crest livery. This brings the B787-8 fleet up to six aircraft.

British Airways Boeing 787-8 G-ZBJE was delivered Paine Field – London Heathrow as BA9158 today. The aircraft is in 35J/25W/154Y configuration and brings the Boeing 787-8 fleet up to five aircraft.

Qatar Airways B787-8 A7-BCK Returns from Johannesburg.

Following its technical return to Johannesburg on 7th May, Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCK departed Johannesburg in the early hours of this morning operating the delayed QR1360 Johannesburg – Doha of 7th May as QR136D.

Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCK operating QR1360 Johannesburg – Doha stopped the climb at 12,000 ft after the nose door gears would not close. The aircraft dumped fuel and returned to Johannesburg for a safe landing. Passengers have been accommodated overnight.

Jetstar B787-8 VH-VKA Continues from Melbourne.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Boeing 787-8 l/n 123, Jetstar VH-VKA, operated yesterday’s delayed JQ35/JQ36 Melbourne – Denpasar rotation this morning as JQ35D/JQ36D.

Jetstar Boeing 787-8 VH-VKA operated the Sydney – Melbourne sector of JQ35 Sydney – Melbourne – Denpasar this evening. However the onward service to Denpasar has been delayed overnight due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

British Airways B787-8 G-ZBJD Returns to Service.

British Airways Boeing 787-8 G-ZBJD, which has been under maintenance at London Heathrow since 30th April following a bird strike incident at Toronto on 29th April, returned to service this afternoon operating BA93 London Heathrow – Toronto.

Etihad Reveal B787 and A380 First & Business Class Products.

Etihad today revealed details of the First Class products to be features on their upcoming Boeing 787 and Airbus A380 aircraft.

The Boeing 787 will feature a First Class suite with backward facing seats:

and one First Class Residence with bed and shower.

A Business Class product on both aircraft will feature backward facing aisle seats in a new configuration.
